And so our journey comes to an end :( We said our goodbyes to the family. We still get an extra day with Auntie Roxanne in Cebu though.

Food!! Slightly Scary Edition..
I did it (well, we did it... Kelsey and I). The one thing I thought I would NEVER do. Balut. For those of you who do not know, balut is a partially developed egg (chicken or duck). You can enjoy balut with beak, feathers, and other lovely bits depending on what stage you get it at. Luckily, mine had no 'recognizable' bits.
Penoy was also on the menu. It is a partially developed egg but still has the appearance of an egg (for the most part, the white part turns a lovely shade of carmel brown). It tastes like a boiled egg but with the texture of soft rubber. Not bad all in all. Although, I doubt I'll be eating it for breakfast every morning...
Pictures: The egg with an 'x' and the carmel brown egg (on the left, 2nd photo) is the penoy. The last picture is also penoy. The rest is all balut. The sauce we used was just vinegar.

Fresh Produce
Sorry it's been a few days since I've posted last. We've been super busy and having lots of fun, but there hasn't been a whole lot of exciting things to post.
We went to a place that was set up like a farmer's market. Fresh fruits and vegetables. They also had some yummy rice goods (desserts) and a few miscellaneous items. We did quite a bit of shopping!
Pictures: in the market, the ride home, ALL of our bags (a bit crowded!) Sorry for all the blurry pictures! We were all exhausted and in a hurry! Lol

Update on church happenings..
We've been busy! Mom shared last Wednesday and Sunday. I shared with the youth on Friday and during Sunday school. I also shared a song and Kelsey prayed for the Sunday service. We don't really know what else will be in store for us, but we have had a wonderfully blessed time. What an opportunity to spend time with another part of the body of Christ. I'll keep you all up to date on the blog and we'll have lots of pictures and video to share. Kelsey has been doing a great job documenting our time here. Kudos to you Kelsey Knight!!
Pictures: The last photo is of an adorable little baby! He was very distracting though! I guess he can't help being so stinkin' cute! :)

Manjuyhod: White Sand Bar
Between the jeepney ride, the boat ride, and waiting to ride the boat, it took about an hour and a half to get to the White Sandbar in Manjuyhod. Totally worth the trip!!
It's absolutely gorgeous!! The water is crystal clear with that beautiful blue color. We went snorkeling (my first time). My family cooked a ton of food. We rented a jeepney, boat, and cottage for the day. We found some interesting looking creatures and got some great underwater footage (thanks to Kelsey's AMAZING underwater camera). I would love to just live out there! I wish you all could have seen it in person, but these photos will have to suffice.
