We made it! (Pics added)

Continued favor! We were able to get an earlier flight to Seattle from Spokane. Although, we were unable to find a Cinnabon in the airport once we got there.

Lots of flying! Experienced some motion sickness (please be praying I won't get that on the way back!). We arrived in the Philippines about 1130pm local time. We then had a 3hour car drive to the end of the island then a 1hour wait for our 20min boat ride to the other island. My aunt met us at the airport, others met us where the boat docked, and everyone else was at Lolo's (grandpa's) house. The journey took about 30hours altogether, but we made it and I must say it was completely worth it!

There's this familiar smell in the air. As soon as we got off the plane it hit me and it finally sunk in that I am going to be in the Philippines for a while. As soon as we turned onto the street where Lolo's house is, I began to recognize everything! And it was just as everyone had warned me, it was all much smaller than I remembered.

Pictures: our make shift door lock, the semi-giant cockroach in dad's room (kels claims there was also a giant spider), kels and I in our room :)

Philippines. Day 1.

Okay so... I've NEVER done a blog before (well, successfully) but someone suggested I should take a travel journal or start a blog and I just thought this would take up less space in my carry-on.

I'm traveling to the Philippines with family and a friend, who is basically my sister. This trip is for fun to catch up with family we haven't seen in many years, but it's also a ministry trip. The timing couldn't be more perfect and we've had so much favor up to this point. I cannot wait to see all that God has in store for us. I'm hoping to be able to keep family and friends updated as much as possible. Your prayers are much appreciated!

Here we are in the airport waiting for our first flight! It's exciting and has been a long time since any of us has been on a plane or out of the country. We are excited though! What an amazing opportunity! Since this is the first post, and we haven't gone anywhere yet, there's not a whole lot to say. So we'll just leave it at that for now :)
